Lying 3700km (2294mi) west of the Chilean mainland, enigmatic Easter Island is the world's most remote inhabited island. More Polynesian than Chilean, the presence of Pacific Islanders in this isolated part of the world is as much a mystery as the origins of those famous stone heads. - Lonely Planet Travel Guide
In July, 2010 Sirius Travel will lead a group to Easter Island to experience a total solar eclipse on July 11. Our planned itinerary will include Easter Island as well as mainland Chile.
UPDATE REGARDING EASTER ISLAND (30 Dec 2009): We have a handful of spaces left for an LA departure for Easter Island. We have also arranged rooms in guesthouses on the island for those travelers that will be buying our airfares, if interested. One of our guides will travel to the island with the group and will arrange some tour services. This will be a very minimal tour, primarily independant travel at cost. Please contact us immediately if you are interested and would like more information.
